Floors

One of the problems that most homes have when they have the fortune to have dogs or cats are hairs.  Pet hair posses one of the hardest things that most homemakers have to deal with, pet hairs cling tightly to most surfaces and gather around in the form of dust bunnies underneath the furniture and tight close to the legs of the furniture.

Keeping a floor clean when there are pets around is not an easy task, but there is no need for homemakers and pet owners to simply cave-in to having such problems or a fine coat of dust bunnies.  The logical and broadly accepted answer is to keep the broom and mop or vacuum cleaner close by, nonetheless, this is not necessary to keep the floors reasonably clean.

The first step is to gather as much dust as possible.  Keeping the work load as low as possible so that the homemaker can enjoy time alone, resting or with family is the goal of any household; instead of moping early in the morning, do this once all the family has arrived and dined.  In this manner, at night, when most of us like to walk barefooted, there will be a significantly reduced amount of crumbs and small bits of things.

Another alternative is to use moistened towels and simply sweep the floors in a broom like fashion, this will collect in one single motion both big debris and the dust that clings to the floor, reducing the effort that homemakers have to do to clean their floors.
