Pets
When you have a small pet in your home like a cat or a dog or even a ferret, she (or he) will need to make a place of his or her own to make all of his/her depositions. Such depositions when exposed to the elements such as air, sun and water will have stain even the toughest surfaces and cause a foul stench that will attract flies and other undesired insects. Consequently, as a homemaker to keep it clean is the priority; but using the generic substances might not be a good idea, since they can work in their worst effort only covering the stench which will appear again as soon as the stain wets releasing foul smell mixed with the scent of the cleaner.
Most cleaners offer wonderful solutions to stains and to bad house-smell; however, it is different to remove the bad odour that cooking leaves impregnated in the furniture, curtains and the acrylic floors than to remove the foul stench of faeces or cat urine. The best way to cleaning is to use soap, water and a bit of chlorine. While the soap that is to be used can be a generic powdered soap or even an all-purpose cleaning solution, and can be pre-prepared in a bucket with plenty of water to prevent the unnecessary use of water, the chlorine should not be added so much in advanced. The reason is that chlorine will de-activate as time passes by, usually from one day to the next when exposed to sunlight and air; so it will always be in the best interest of cleaning that the chlorine is added daily to the soapy mixture bucket.
One word of advise though, chlorine stains permanently, and it can damage most fabrics, so it is important to use with caution and wear clothes that are not expensive and that are generally used as “work clothes”.
